Over the past few weeks I've spent a lot of time refining the DTS website. Not because a website wins projects.
It doesn't.
But because it forced me to answer one simple question:
What do I actually believe?
After more than 30 years in manufacturing, machine building and industrial operations, my answer is surprisingly simple.
I believe that every organisation has a flow.
Ideas become engineering-->Engineering becomes procurement-->Procurement becomes production-->Production becomes delivery.
When that flow is uninterrupted, organisations move forward almost naturally.
When it is disrupted, people work harder, meetings increase, priorities change and pressure builds.
Most organisations respond by solving what becomes visible.
I prefer to understand where the flow first began to slow down.
That way of thinking became the foundation of DTS and the reason I developed the DTS FLOW™ methodology.
The website may be finished.
The real work starts where operational flow stops.
